WOW! What an inspiring morning for the Juniors today with a visit today from the amazing author Shane Hegarty.
It was a really engaging talk and had the Juniors gripped. Shane shared useful tips for writing stories and creating illustrations as well as talking about how he created the hugely successful Dartmouth series. There was a lot of talk about SNOT as a well as how to kill a goldfish and creating your own monsters. We got to see some of the beautiful illustrations from the series as well as hear Shane read from the first book, Darkmouth.
The children went away happy with their signed copies of the books, autographs and pencils. Now I am looking forward to chatting with the children about the books once they get stuck in.
