Who can apply to Sancton Wood School?
We accept applications for:
- Nursery
- Reception to Year 6 (Prep School)
- Year 7 to Year 11 (Senior School)

Our admissions process — step by step
We aim to make the application journey as clear and supportive as possible.
1. Submit an online application
Applications are completed online via our website.
2. Application review and availability check
Once received, our admissions team will confirm whether there is availability or whether the application will be placed on a waiting list.
3. Assessment and taster experience
If appropriate, your child may be invited to attend an assessment or a taster day to spend time with peers and informally meet our academic team.
4. Decision and offer
A decision is made following the assessment and reviewing references. Families are typically informed within 5–7 working days.
Visiting Sancton Wood
We strongly encourage families to visit us before applying. Open Mornings are held three times a year and can be booked online. Personal tours are available during the school week, allowing you to see the school in action
Scholarships
Scholarships are available for pupils entering Year 3, Year 7, and Year 9. The scholarship application process opens in September for the following academic year. The number of awards offered varies each year depending on the strength of applications. All scholarships are reviewed at the start of a new key stage.
