September 17th
Year 10 attended a lab experience morning at ARU IT department at Compass House on East Road. The students were welcomed to the facility by Prof Marcian Cirstea, they were then split into two groups 1. looking at programming 2. looking at Networking and using Anglia’s Cisco Lab to manually set up a network and test it. Students were also shown around the new IT facility at the main ARU campus, it gave the students a good opportunity to see what local Universities have to offer and the level of work they would expect to be carrying out in them.
