After half term, we have a number of fundraising events that we will need your support with. These events are open to all children from Reception – Y6.
Fundraising for East Africa Children’s Project
We have two opportunities this term to raise money for the school’s official charity, the East Africa Children’s Project. Firstly, Dragon house are holding a cake sale on 31st October. We’d love to receive donations of cake from anyone in Dragon house. These may be Halloween themed. The following day, we’re inviting children to bring in any pumpkins they’ve carved for a house-based competition. We’re asking for donations as entry fees for the competition. The pumpkins will be judged according to the creativity of the designs – whether they’re scary, happy, or just great patterns. They’ll be on display at the SWPA disco.
Fundraising for Children in Need
On 15th November, the BBC is holding its annual Children in Need day. We’d like to raise money for this charity and so we’re inviting the children to come to school in pyjamas, onesies and dressing gowns, and to give a gold coin donation towards this great charity.
We’re pleased to announce a Book Fair, running from 6th-13th November in the Drama Studio. It will be open for business 8-8.30am (except on Monday) and 3.45-4.30 each day after school.
