Isla is a senior student of whom we are always incredibly proud, she has an innate sense of social responsibility. Her talents have been recognised further afield. Isla was chosen out of a plethora of students from all of the Dukes schools and she is now a member of the Youth Advisory Board for the Dukes Foundation (the charitable arm of Dukes). Isla’s clear commitment and belief in equality, diversity and inclusion will serve her well. Her written application and interview was very impressive. She’s on the way to a bright future.
“I felt proud and also humbled to be chosen, as I think the work of the Dukes Foundation will transform some children’s lives. I hope that I can add to youth board discussions and be mindful. This is a great experience for me too and I will always remember how much my life was changed by an educational decision and how privileged I have been to have the support of my parents and my school’s support.”
