Students in sun hats

Time is rushing on, and the Nursery and Infant staff, whilst working very hard with their young charges, are also planning for the departmental move to our new site.

Our new premises will be specifically for the youngest children attending Sancton Wood, and will be able to accommodate a gentle growth to two form entry over the next two or three years.

We are very excited by the prospect of a dedicated Early Years and Infant site, and although there are lots of details which will have to be thought about and decided upon, we feel sure this change will be in the best interests of the children.

We will be very careful, though, not to lose our ‘family friendly’ ethos, and of course we strive all the time to provide an outstanding level of care and education.

Links with the Prep and Senior School will be maintained, and are indeed part of our strength as a whole school.  We are holding two open mornings this half-term, on Saturday 6th February and Wednesday 10th February.  This is for prospective parents to Baby Unicorns, Unicorn Nursery, Reception and Year 1 and 2, – although interested potential parents for other year groups are of course most welcome to come along.  It’s always nice to show off our school!

The report from our recent ISI inspection will be available to parents soon.  Although we are not allowed to communicate the inspectors’ finding to you before the inspectors do so officially, we know you will not be disappointed!

Here’s to a great future for Sancton Wood – building on a wonderful foundation.
