‘Early Adopter’ for DfE

As you may or may not be aware, the Department for Education (DfE) is developing a new Early Years Framework. We are proud to announce that at Sancton Wood we have opted to be ‘Early Adopter’ of the new proposed curriculum. We have taken the opportunity to pilot the new framework into our practice and firmly believe this improves opportunities for the children in our setting. It offers a top-level view of how children develop and learn, and guides, although does not replace, professional judgement. It also allows us to have times built in to directly feedback our practise and opinions to the DfE as a pioneering school.
